Size guide

Bracelets

  1. Measure your wrist just above the wrist bone with a soft tape, or with a strip of paper and a ruler.
  2. Add to that measurement for the fit you like:
FitAdd to your wristExample: 15 cm wrist
Snug+1.5 cm16.5 cm bracelet
Comfort+2 cm17 cm bracelet
Loose+3 cm18 cm bracelet

Each bracelet's length is listed on its page.

Bangles

A closed bangle has to pass over your hand. Bring your thumb towards your little finger, as if putting on a bangle, and measure around the widest part of your hand. Choose a bangle 1–2 cm larger, or compare the inside diameter of a bangle that already fits. Cuffs and open bangles are sized by the wrist, like bracelets.

About Citrine

Citrine is the yellow to red-orange variety of quartz, from light lemon yellow to deep "Madeira" orange.

Birthstone
November
Hardness
7 (Mohs)
Everyday wear
With a hardness of 7 and good toughness, citrine handles normal wear well and can be used in any type of jewellery.
Care
Warm, soapy water is the recommended way to clean citrine; avoid steam cleaning and high heat, which can crack the stone or fade heat-treated material.
Meaning and tradition
Because citrine was long confused with topaz, it was traditionally credited with topaz's powers, and it was believed to soothe tempers and calm the wearer. Its name is thought to come from the French "citron" (lemon).
About Topaz

Topaz has an exceptionally wide colour range, including colourless, blue, brown, yellow, orange, pink, red and purple. Colourless topaz is plentiful and is often treated to turn it blue.

Birthstone
November
Hardness
8 (Mohs)
Everyday wear
Topaz is hard but has a cleavage direction that can split with a hard knock, so protective settings help, and it is well suited to pendants and earrings.
Care
Clean with warm water and mild soap; avoid steam and ultrasonic cleaners, high heat and sudden temperature changes. Coated topaz should never be cleaned with abrasives or on a buffing wheel.
Meaning and tradition
In folklore, the ancient Greeks believed topaz gave them strength, and in Renaissance Europe it was thought to break magic spells and dispel anger. In Indian tradition, wearing it above the heart was said to bring beauty and intelligence.

Meanings and traditions are beliefs people have held about these stones, not proven effects, and are no substitute for medical advice.
