About Moonstone
Moonstone is a feldspar (orthoclase with thin layers of albite) prized for adularescence, a soft glow that seems to float across the stone, with body colours from colourless to grey, peach and brown.

- Moonstone has poor toughness and a slight tendency to cleave or chip, so it is best treated with care, especially in rings.

- In Hindu mythology moonstone is said to be made of solidified moonbeams, and it has long been linked with love, good luck and the moon; it is sometimes called the "Lover's Stone". Many people wear it as a calming focus for meditation.
